Tilt or touch: how I settle the steering debate
Every time I open an arcade racer the first question is the same: tilt or touch. There's no universal answer, but there is a right answer for your situation.
Tilt feels more natural for long drifts and gives you finer control on curves, but it's useless on a bumpy train. Touch buttons are steadier and better when you're moving around, at the cost of a bit of precision.
In Neon Drift Circuit I use tilt at home and touch on the go. Both are well tuned, which is rarer than it should be. Whatever you pick, spend two or three races getting used to it before you judge your times.
The trick to arcade racers is learning to let go of the accelerator into a drift rather than braking. Once that clicks, your lap times drop fast.
